United 05.09.10

United was awesome yesterday! And I’m not sure if it was because of the sermon, the music, the lighting, the interaction with Twitter throughout the whole service, or my supermassive blackhole of a lens, my new 70-200mm. OOOOH YEAH!

This has been by far one of my favorite purchases this year. Well, wait………. I don’t know. Everything I’ve bought this year has been pretty sweet. The 5D, all the CrzayBooth stuff, now this lens. It’s turning out to be a pretty nice ”photo goodie” year for me.

So anyways, United. Another great week. Hey Brian Miller! I LOVE the lighting strips that border the back stage area, and whenever light shoots out into the congregation, it makes for a great picture. You and the team are doing an awesome job with staging, lighting, and all that jazz! The way the truss lights shine out remind me of the light heart from last year. Do you guys remember that? No? Well here’s a few photos to refresh your memory! It was and still is, by far, my favorite staging at United!!!

I’ve already fulfilled my goal of shooting twice in United this month, but I am probably going to continue going the rest of the month. The lens needs hours on it, I need the practice, and hey, its FUN!

Enjoy!

I wasn’t in either United service so I didn’t realize that they actually had Twitter on the screen. Maybe I should have changed my profile pic. Oops.

These pics are crazy, crazy good. Definitely can see a major glass upgrade! Very nice.

Actually, my favorite things about this stage now is that it really refreshes the trussing, in my opinion, and there being 3 martins gives a nice effect.

Also, did Adam get that Tele he was looking at, then?

@A – Yep, funny how an almost as expensive as your camera piece of glass really does make a difference!! : )
@JD – YES! I love the side truss with the lights along the floor! And I don’t know it was a Tele, but I do know Adam got a new guitar and played it yesterday..It sounded pretty good too!
