Happy Birthday Colin

February 1st, 2010 · 6 Comments

I was SO mad at myself. I thought I had everything prepared and ready to go. And 5 minutes away from the train station, I go to take a picture of Colin in the backseat, and realize I forgot to put the battery I charged last night back INTO the camera! AH! I was soooooo disappointed!!! Good thing I had my iPhone to snap some pics with throughout the day.

Turned out, I didn’t need my camera.  I just couldn’t be sad or upset about anything today. Yesterday was Colin’s birthday and the only thing he wanted to do was ride a train and eat at Burger King. So that’s what we did. We drove down to Shady Grove and hopped on the Marc train and rode into Union Station. I cannot express how heartwarming it was to see my son SO happy and excited about having his wishes come true.

We never made it to Burger King…way too far of a walk in winter, so we ate at Johnny Rocket’s in Union Station. Which turned out to be pretty stinkin fun, because all Colin wanted to do was dance and eat. He had us ALL dancing and eating to 50’s music, dancing with our fries, and making complete fools of ourselves in front of the hundreds of people that walked by during the lunch hour. I will do anything for that boy!

We made memories today. Memories that will last forever. Happy Birthday Colin, I love you in a very very special way.

what a handsome little guy he is… no wonder you’d do anything for him, who wouldn’t. Looks like he had a ball, and I agree w/ Sara… where’s the dancing clowns?
